Different Ways
Touchstone Centre, Bradford; 'Somewhere Else', Liverpool; 'The Bridge', Burbage; Acorn Centre, Todmorden, W Yorks
First, a visit to Touchstone, ministering in an urban setting with a particular emphasis on interfaith. Hear from some of the staff and those who visit the centre to see how valuable a hospitable space can be.
In Liverpool city centre we meet people who bake bread. As bread is made and given away, stories are shared and relationships are developed. For more information about the 'Somewhere Else' project, phone 0151 706 0155, e-mail barbara.glasson@tesco.net.
At 'The Bridge' in Burbage we enter a school which offers church in a different context.
Finally we visit Todmorden's Acorn Centre and see how an old hotel bar has been converted into a drop-in centre, offering education, Internet access and much more. A strong focus on building of relationships is at the heart of this work.
