Methodist Art Collection

The Methodist Church Collection of Modern Christian Art is an impressive and growing Collection of art that tours the country.

Rev Howard Mellor and Isabel Witham, whose church recently hosted the Collection in Winchester, talk about the impact of the Collection on their worship and community. The paintings were used as a stimulus for many groups including workshops for children with a local artist. As a worshipping community the church found inspiration in the use of the paintings in worship. The arts provided a different and powerful way of speaking of faith.
